UCSA Fireside Sunday, August 9th at 7:00 pm

Wayne Burton is a singer and songwriter who has been contributing to LDS inspirational music for over 15 years. Brother Burton lives in Alberta Canada with his wife and five children and currently serves as the stake young men’s president. Wayne is a writer of many styles of music but has made his primary focus uplifting and spiritual songs for use by Latter-Day Saints and for missionary purposes. Some notable accomplishments include:
• Winner of the LDS church-wide annual song contest with “Praise Thy Holy Name” and placing top three several other years
• Wayne’s songs are among those shared for download on the LDS church youth website
• Wayne’s songs have been featured on three different Especially for Youth (EFY) albums including the 2014 CD with “All I Need to Know”
• He has been awarded the Pearl Award for artist of the year by the Faith Centered Music Assocation, an LDS-themed recognition comparable to the Grammys
• His songs have been used by many stakes and wards for youth conferences, Trek camps and for their yearly youth theme events
The location for this fireside is 1050 W 1600 N in Orem,
just east of the I-15 exit at 1600 North Orem.

Utah Valley Single Adult Choir
Summer Pops Concert

Utah County Single Adult (UCSA) Choir
Single Adults who love to sing are invited to join the choir. New members can join the regular rehearsals at any time. The choir is preparing for the annual Pops Concert held in August of show tunes and Broadway and movie musicals.

The Pops concert is Saturday, August 29, beginning at 7:00 pm at the chapel at 352 N 900 East, Provo. The concert theme is "There's No Business Like Show Business." The cutoff date for new members to join the choir is Sunday, August 2. We invite all voices -- soprano, alto, tenor, and bass -- who enjoy singing and want to contribute to the success of this concert. The music is somewhat difficult, so new singers should join as soon as possible. All Sunday rehearsals begin at 5:30. Saturday rehearsals go from 10 am to 1 pm.

BYU Adult Religion Class
Brother Judd Hixson is back and will be teaching Doctrines of the Gospel each Tuesday evening starting May 1st through August 18th at the Mountain View Seminary Building (725 W. Center St. Orem, UT) from 7:00-8:30 pm.
The cost is $25.50 per course or $2.50 per lecture
