Authors Terryl and Fiona Givens will be our speakers. Together they have co-authored several books published by Deseret Book, the newest of which will soon be released.

Terryl Givens did graduate work in intellectual history at Cornell and in comparative literature at UNC Chapel Hill, where he received his Ph.D. He holds the Jabez A. Bostwick Chair of English and is Professor of Literature and Religion at the University of Richmond, where he teaches courses in nineteenth-century studies and the Bible's influence on Western literature. His writings have been praised by the New York Times as "provocative reading,"

Fiona Givens was born in Nairobi, Kenya, educated in British convent schools, and converted to the LDS church in Frankfurt, Germany. She earned degrees in French, German, and in European History while co-raising six children. Fiona has worked as a lobbyist, a translator, and as chair of a French language program. She is now an independent scholar, having published in Women's Exponent II, Dialogue, and LDS Living. She is a frequent speaker on podcasts, at firesides, and with Time Out for Women. She and her husband live in Montpelier, Virginia.

Single Adults age 31 and up who love to sing are invited to join the Utah County Single Adult choir.

New members are encouraged to participate with the choir, all voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) are welcome! If you love to sing, want to make friends, as well as share your talents and worship through music, please join us!

The choir is preparing for the annual Christmas program.
Regular weekly rehearsals begin at 5:30 pm each Sunday evening and are held at the following locations:
1st Sunday - 75 East 700 North, Orem
2nd Sunday - 1050 West 1600 North, Orem
3rd Sunday - 80 West 900 South, Orem
4th Sunday - 828 West 1600 North, Orem
5th Sunday - 1600 North 1340 West, Provo

Provo Temple Night
is held weekly on Wednesdays.
Be dressed and ready by 6:30 pm and meet in the chapel to attend the 7 pm session together as a group.

Payson Temple Night
is held monthly on the 3rd Thursday.
Meet in the chapel at 6:30 pm dressed and ready to attend the 7 pm session. Sessions start every 45 min for early or late attendees.

Single Adult Religion Classes
Weekly Single Adult classes are held on Thursdays at 7 pm at a new location. Come to the LDS building on 396 North County Blvd (formerly 1100 E) and meet in the Relief Society room. This building is just down the road on the east side of the temple, heading toward the hospital. Best area to park is on the east, the RS room is inside the east door on the right. Brother Herschel Pederson and Brother Terrel Kofed are teaching various gospel topics each week. Sponsored by the American Fork East Stake.

Adult Institute of Religion class held Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 pm at Mountain View High Seminary building, 725 W Center in Orem. Brother Judd Hixson will be teaching the Old Testament (Genesis - Samuel 2). This class runs August 23 to November 29. Register in class or online at ($22.50).

Utah County Single Adults (UCSA) serves Single Adults ages 46+ (see, as does Mount Timpanogos Singles (MTS) (see Single Adults ages 46+ from all over the valley are invited to the activities of both these groups. Single Adults 31-45 are welcome to attend the UCSA activities.
