Brother Skinner is a professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University. Born and raised in Colorado, he earned his BA degree in history from the University of Colorado. He then earned an MA degree from the Iliff School of Theology in Jewish Studies and a ThM degree from Harvard in biblical Hebrew. He did graduate work at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He earned a PhD from the University of Denver in Near Eastern and European history specializing in Judaism.
Skinner taught for four years at Ricks College and has filled three assignments at the BYU Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies, where he served as a faculty member and taught Near Eastern studies. He has served as director of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship, dean of Religious Education, and chair of the Department of Ancient Scripture. He is the author or co-author of over one hundred publications, including Jerusalem: The Eternal City; New Testament Apostles Testify of Christ; Discoveries in the Judaean Desert: The Unidentified Fragments from Qumran Cave 4 (an analysis of all the unidentified Hebrew and Aramaic Dead Sea Scroll texts); Scriptural Parables for the Latter Days; and Gethsemane.
He and his wife Janet Corbridge Skinner reside in Lindon, Utah, and they are the parents of six children.

UCSA CHOIR – WE INVITE ALL VOICES
SOPRANO, ALTO, TENOR, BASS
Single Adults age 31 and up who love to sing are invited to join the Utah County Single Adult choir.
New members are encouraged to participate with the choir, all voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) are welcome! If you love to sing, want to make friends, as well as share your talents and worship through music, please join us!
Final date for new singers to join before the Christmas concert is November 20. The choir will take a break after the concert and resume rehearsals on January 8 to prepare for Easter. New members can again join the choir beginning on January 8.
Regular weekly rehearsals begin at 5:30 p.m. each Sunday evening and are held at the following locations:
1st Sunday - 75 East 700 North, Orem
2nd Sunday - 1050 West 1600 North, Orem
3rd Sunday - 158 East 1100 South, Orem
4th Sunday - There will be a new 4th Sunday location for 2017
5th Sunday - 1600 North 1340 West, Provo
UCSA Choir is currently preparing for the annual Christmas concert to be held on December 18th at 7:00 pm (see details above), so a few extra rehearsals are scheduled.

Provo Temple Night
is held weekly on Wednesdays.
Be dressed and ready by 6:30 pm and meet in the chapel to attend the 7 pm session together as a group.
Payson Temple Night
is held monthly on the 3rd Thursday.
Meet in the chapel at 6:30 pm dressed and ready to attend the 7 pm session. Sessions start every 45 min for early or late attendees. A Single Adult mingle after the session will be in the ward meetinghouse just south of the temple (where the parking lots adjoin) at 9 pm.

Single Adult Religion Classes
Single Adult Religion Class / FHE on Tuesdays at 7 pm. Meet in the Relief Society Room of the LDS chapel at
2168 South 140 West in Orem.
Study includes General Conference talks, scriptures, and guest speakers. Sponsored by Orem 10 Multi-Stakes.
Single Adult Religion classes are held at 7 pm on Wednesdays at the Mountain View High School Seminary Building,
725 West Center in Orem.
Religion classes are held on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. The instructors are Hershel Pederson and Terrel Kofed. Meet at the American Fork Junior High Seminary building, 70 West 1120 North, American Fork.
